Reb360 LTD, a leading real estate company based in Lagos, is taking a bold step towards tackling food insecurity in Nigeria with the launch of Reb360 Farms. Known for offering profitable real estate investment opportunities for Nigerians at home and abroad, the company is now venturing into agriculture as part of its commitment to sustainable development.

Recognizing the untapped potential of Nigeria’s arable lands, Reb360 began farming yams on one of its estates, Kefi Court. This year, the company expanded its cultivation to include sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The decision to diversify into agriculture was driven by the pressing need to promote food availability and affordability across communities.

The company recently celebrated a successful harvest, reaping a bounty of sweet corn, sweet potatoes, and robust yams. Speaking on the initiative, the CEO of Reb360 LTD, Mrs. Tope Mark-Odigie, explained the rationale behind the move into agriculture.

“At Reb360, we understand the critical role food sustainability plays in the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Unfortunately, a significant portion of Nigeria’s arable lands remain underutilized. We decided to take action by cultivating crops on our estates to address the shortage of farm produce in the country,” she said.

The agricultural project is more than just a business venture; it is part of Reb360’s corporate social responsibility to contribute to national development. Mrs. Mark-Odigie highlighted that making farm produce affordable was a key priority for the company.

“Our goal is to ensure that people have access to healthy food without the financial burden that often comes with it. We’ve harvested and sold our yams, sweet corn, and sweet potatoes at incredibly affordable prices to ensure that even those who might not have been able to buy these items at regular market rates can afford them,” she noted.

The initiative aims to inspire other real estate companies to leverage their unused lands for agriculture, contributing to food security across the country.

“Our venture into agriculture is a deliberate and strategic move to promote sustainable food production. We want to show that real estate companies can go beyond property development and make meaningful contributions to society. By turning unused lands into productive farms, we are helping to strengthen food security for our nation,” Mrs. Mark-Odigie added.

Through this agricultural expansion, Reb360 is making a lasting impact on both the real estate and agricultural sectors, setting an example of how businesses can address pressing social issues while pursuing profitable ventures.
