1. He was inspired to act after watching Hubert Ogunde
After watching one of Ogunde’s concert parties at the Colonial Hotel in Kano, he became interested in pursuing acting professionally.

2. He trained in London
A performance by legendary Nigerian theatre practitioner Hubert Ogunde influenced Jacobs’ decision to pursue acting. Before becoming a familiar face in Nigerian films, Jacobs travelled to Britain to study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.
