Many plus-size women often think that they don’t have many styling options. But that is not true. With the right styling tips, you can use your body size to your advantage.

Flaunt your curves:

When you wear oversized clothes in a bid to camouflage your body what it does is to actually make you look bigger than you are. Wear clothes that flatter your curves.

Invest in a fit and flare dress:

A flare and fit dress is a dress fitted through the waist and flaring out at or below the hips. It is one style that looks equally as great on all shapes and sizes. A fit and flare dress that stops just above the knee would make a plus-size woman the belle of the ball.

Your go-to shapewear:

Have go-to shapewear; a dress you can easily slip into when you’re not sure what to wear. Leggings, Jegging or a pencilled trouser is perfect for this.

Leggings are garments that are skin tight and cover the legs. Previously, there would be a pair of leggings, one for each leg although now there is just one garment that is somewhat a joint pair.

In contrast, jeggings are basically of two types. One of these types is similar to legging material make and resembles denim. They have fake pockets and even belt loops. The other category, however, is more of a cross between legging material and denim.

Fitted not too tight:

Comfort should be the number one fashion rule, irrespective of body size. Dress in what makes you comfortable.

According to celebrity stylist, Susan Moses:

“There’s a difference between being squeezed up in a dress and a dress fitting your body nicely…. You shouldn’t see lines of any undergarments through the dress—that’s when you know it’s too tight!”
