Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, has declared his love for Me & U, a hit track by Tems.

The American rapper, actor, and businessman, recently shared his obsession with the soulful track in a viral clip. Despite his legendary status in hip-hop, he revealed that Me & U is currently his favourite song, playing it on repeat.

“My current song on repeat is Me & U by Tems,” he said during an interview. The track is the lead single from Tems’ debut album Born In The Wild, which has garnered widespread acclaim.

Me & U is celebrated by musical artists and Tems fans as well. However, it also sparked controversy at the 2024 BET Awards. The song unexpectedly won the Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award, leaving some critics questioning its categorisation as a gospel song.

Gospel enthusiasts argued that more traditional gospel artists like Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, CeCe Winans, and Maverick City Music should have won the award instead of the secular track.

Despite the controversy, Tems continues to ride, with her unique sound captivating both fans and fellow artists alike.

Beyond his music career, 50 Cent, who took his stage name as a metaphor for change, remains a prominent figure in business and philanthropy.
