Popular actor Kunle Afod has called out the Chairman of Ose Local Government in Ondo State, Honourable C.K. Ojo, over the terrible state of public facilities in the area. In a new video, the filmmaker expressed his sadness, saying that the local leaders have abandoned the people. He challenged the Chairman to explain why the community has been left to suffer for so long with almost no help from the government.
The actor’s primary concern centred on the CAC Nursery and Primary School, which he noted is in severe disrepair. According to Afod, the educational facility has suffered from a lack of investment and maintenance, leaving students to learn in substandard conditions. The critique did not stop at education; Afod described the local health system as “totally bad,” alleging that for the past eight years, the community has seen little to no improvement in medical infrastructure. He accused the local leadership of “turning a deaf ear” to the plight of the people, questioning whether the authorities even acknowledge the existence of the constituents they were elected to serve.
The timing of the outburst is particularly notable, as it coincides with the first-anniversary celebrations of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration. While the Governor has recently touted a “Budget of Economic Consolidation” and promised visible transformation across Ondo State, Afod’s video suggests a significant disconnect between state-level rhetoric and the reality on the ground in Ose. By sarcastically referencing the Governor before pivoting to the local chairman, the filmmaker underscored a growing frustration with the entire chain of command regarding the distribution of resources and the payment of student support fees.
This public call-out has ignited a heated debate online, with many residents echoing Afod’s sentiments regarding the lack of accountability at the local government level. As the video continues to circulate, pressure is mounting on Chairman C.K. Ojo to address the specific allegations concerning the school and health centres. For many in Ose, the actor’s intervention is seen as a necessary spotlight on a leadership style they describe as detached. Whether this vocal demand for transparency will lead to immediate repairs or remain another ignored plea in the 2026 political cycle remains to be seen.
