He stated, “Our client, Speed Darlington, a.k.a AKPI, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria.”
While the exact reason for his arrest is still unknown, this is not the first time Speed Darlington has found himself in trouble with the authorities.
In a previous case, the musician was arrested in Lagos for allegedly cyberstalking fellow Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy. Following his arrest, he was transferred to Abuja and detained by the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team in Guzape before being released on bail.
As fans and the public await further details, the arrest has sparked widespread reactions, with many questioning whether the incident is related to past legal issues or a new development.
