Cocktails also serve as the best way of reducing the alcohol intake as it comes with its own recipes for which each ingredient is measured. A very good example of a perfect cocktail is the Mojito. It is a type of cocktail made from the excellent mixture of rum, fresh lime juice and mint leaves; super refreshing.

The combination of these ingredients gives an idea of its nutritional values like it being an excellent source of antioxidant.

What is an antioxidant? Well, this compound is not only super potent to prevent cancer by fighting free radicals but also good for the heart and some neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer and Dementia. An excellent source of the aforementioned is Mint leaves, which is also the main ingredient of mojitos. Furthermore, lime juice is also an excellent source of Vitamin C which is also another powerful antioxidant contained in Mojitos.

With Vitamin C present, it is obvious Mojitos will serve as great immunity boosters. It may provide you with one layer of protection from viral infection that may spread during seasons.

Another healthy benefit of this delicious cocktail is that combining mint and lime juice may give you healthy digestion. So in order to avoid constipation and slow bowel movement after that [heavy] lunch, drink a glass of mojitos.

There is also the amazing benefit of it being great for your skin; so while making plans to achieve that desired complexion, include drinking mojitos a little here and there. A glass of Mojitos that are rich in vitamin C may provide sun protection from inside your body by producing collagen for firmness of the skin, while you focus on that tan.

Though Mojitos are rich of calcium from the mix of lime juice and mint leaves which are healthy, pregnant women should avoid taking it since rum contains alcohol.
