Filmhouse Group and the National Council for Arts & Culture (NCAC) have partnered to redefine the African entertainment landscape and boost its global visibility.

They also aim to empower emerging talents and promote inclusivity within the industry.

Set to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, MIP Africa facilitates one-on-one meetings between content creators, producers, and potential co-production partners, providing a global platform for African talent to shine.

Nigeria will be prominently featured as the “Country of Honour,” underscoring its pivotal role in the continent’s creative ecosystem.

The Group Chief Executive Officer of Filmhouse Group, Kene Okwuosa, emphasised the importance of this alliance in driving forward the African entertainment sector.

He said the event will serve as a platform to launch the partnership and showcase the innovative projects and talent that will be supported by the collaboration.

According to him, both organisations are enthusiastic about the impact this partnership will have on the industry and are committed to continually redefining the African entertainment sector.

“Partnering with the National Council for Arts & Culture perfectly aligns with our commitment to advancing the African entertainment industry. With Nigeria as the country of honour, we are excited to showcase the country’s vibrant talents and rich cultural stories. Together, we aim to foster innovation and provide a platform for emerging talent to shine on a global stage,” Okwuosa stated.
