There are proofs that we truly “rise by lifting others”. One of the scarcest virtues among the human race today is compassion through giving.

Ace Nigerian broadcaster, Adedoyin Ayomide Samuel, fondly referred to as AyRubber, is one of the rarest individuals who live to help others climb up to stardom.

AyRubber is an exceptional on-air-personality, voiceover expert and talent manager, who identifies talents in others who perhaps are unaware of what they have.

The media personality, who has practically climbed through the ladder himself to assume the pedigree he currently holds, learnt the ropes in broadcasting, beginning with his days as an intern at Lagos Traffic Radio, an era he summed up as when he took “a lot of risk”.

“I have given in to a lot of risks, but a notable one was back then on Lagos Traffic Radio when I was an Intern. My shift with the other Interns was meant to end by 5 pm and the next one was by 6pm to 9 pm. My other colleagues have gone home, but because I wanted to learn more, I had to stay back with the presenter on duty to see how he did his thing. I did this so many times and it helped me. That was one of my biggest risks among sleepless nights in school,” said AyRubber.

Afterwards, he grew to become a force in the Nigerian media space. Ayrubber has worked with several top broadcasting houses in Lagos, as well as a voiceover freelancer in the media and for major brands.

“What I do is around the media and the environment. I am a TV presenter and also a radio presenter for KEDU TV and also a voice-over artist, but being a voice-over artist is a freelance work for me where I only deliver the script. I have done that for a couple of persons, media houses and even brands in Nigeria”, stated AyRubber.

His conquest in the industry makes it easy for him to identify talents in others and help them manage it to fulfillment.

“As a Talent Manager, my drive has always been to make sure I helped someone from point 0 to 100. I have always tried to see the talents and make them blow. I just want to make an impact and it’s not necessarily about the money. That is when the content creation comes in when you see a talent you connect them to become a better person and also give support for the development of such talent,” AyRubber said.

Speaking further, AyRubber said: “I manage talent for people that create contents and a talent manager for VSKIT app. This is a short video app in Africa that helps people make contents for fun.

“Talent management is the methodically organized and strategic process of getting the right talent on-board and helping them grow to their optimal capabilities,” added AyRubber.

The author Matshona Dhliwayo admonished all humans to “be a star in someone’s dark sky.” In his characteristic manner, Adedoyin Ayomide Samuel recently made charity outreaches to St Monica’s Orphanage of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos located in Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State, as well as to The LoveHome Orphanage, a subsidiary of Real Women Foundation, located in the Magodo area of the state, to donate gift items—a gesture through which he consistently sustains humanity.
