The Red Cross was the first disseminator of the information in which a letter was drafted to plead with the government and the public to see that the life of Hauwa is spared.
The Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on the other hand, in a statement, stated that the government tried everything within its power to rescue the girl.
