It has been a very dramatic week, some of which made our hearts glad and others, sad. In all, the week
brought it with, eye-opening incidents that will change minds for a long time. From arrests to rape to

Nigerians Taking UK By Storm
Mrs Victoria Obaze from Imo State, Nigeria has made history in the United Kingdom after the first black
female Civic Mayor of London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is gathered that she contested in 2010,
2014 and 2016 but lost before she won this election. It would be recalled that two other Nigerians, Mr
Ernest Ezeajughi, and Mrs Kate Anorue, both hailing from Anambra State were recently sworn into office
as Mayors of London Borough of Brent and Enfield respectively. The midwife wants to be a role model
for women in her village.
Between Theft And Rape
Popular Nigerian comic actor, Bishop Umoh better known by his alias, Okon Lagos took to social media
to clarify an earlier statement concerning an allegation against Abuja policemen and the rape of some
women in Abuja. Recall that he said it is a wrong allegation because rape is taking away someone’s
dignity which in this case, “Ashawo no get self-pride and dignity” so the case should be called theft
‘because they sell a merchandise’ and not rape. After the public’s backlash, he explained that he “only
tried to open up another perspective to the crime they committed.”
“Lucifer” drama
Joshua Mike-Bamiloye, son of popular Mount Zion Faith Drama Ministry founder, Mike Bamiloye,
sparked online outrage after stating via Twitter that the American comedy series, “Lucifer,” is the devil’s
strategy to win souls. There’s a show called Lucifer Azin the devil o lol, and you, knowing how
captivating foreign series can be, You still watch. “Now you love the character; Lucifer, Like Jack Bauer
and somehow you think, the devil isn’t winning your soul over…, he tweeted. Despite the criticism, he
appears unfazed. Instead, he tweeted that the outrage has caused more people to know about the
effect of the film.
Regrets
Former NBA star, Lamar Odom has spilt some tea about his past life. The basketball star who famously
married reality TV star, Khloe Kardashian in his new memoir Darkness to Light has admitted that he
regrets cheating on her as well as admitting he has a sex addiction problem. “I wish I could have been
more of a man. It still bothers me to this day. But regret is something we have to learn to live with,” the
39-year-old wrote. He also admitted that Khloe showed “unconditional love” as he battled paranoia,
anxiety, depression?
A Tale Of Two Husbands
Africans received with shock, the death of Chris Attoh’s wife, Jennifer Bettie. According to reports,
Bettie was married to two different men simultaneously and was gunned down while leaving her office
on Friday in the United States. Reports state that she was running from the gunman before she was
shot. Court records also showed that Kedrick Jenifer, Bettie's second husband who is an arrested drug
lord filed for divorce from Jennifer on April 9, 2018, which she reciprocated six days after. Police,
however, said investigations are still ongoing as her killer is yet to be identified.
