Afrobeat singer Davido has taken time out to appreciate his fans, and their love on “Timeless” throughout the year 2023, in what he describes as an avalanche of achievements while referring to the year.

Davido who released “Timeless” on 31st of March 2023 feels satisfied after the achievement recorded by the album, from AEA USA African Album of the Year to also gathering various nominations including a Grammy.
He wrote on his official “X” page, appreciating his fans, “Reflecting on 2023 it’s crazy to look back on what we’ve done.

Reflecting through the year, Davido also became a father of twins with his wife Chioma, after the tragic loss of their son ifeanyi, a couple of years ago. The Grammy nominee is also the most followed celebrity in Nigeria after boasting an impressive 56.1 million followers across various platforms. According to the latest rankings from entertainment statistics released just a few weeks ago.
Since its release on the 31st of March, ‘Timeless’ recorded 1 million streams in less than six hours and inched up in its streak to 5 million streams in about 16 hours after its arrival, making it the first album to achieve this new and historic feat on Boomplay based on the report of the 4th of April by Guardian.
The “Timeless” album recorded over a billion streams on Spotify and other streaming platforms. In furtherance to that, the Guardian also reported his unveiling of a #577M necklace to celebrate the achievements of the album back in August.
Taking to his social media account the crooner wrote; “Turned sand to 💎.” A post that quickly went viral, with fans and celebrities alike praising the singer’s taste.
“Timeless” was released in 2023 and was a critical and commercial success. The album spawned several hit singles, including “Unavailable,” “No Competition,” and “Na Money.”
