Iyabo Ojo Regrets Asking for Mohbad’s Exhumation

Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Iyabo Ojo, has noted her regret over asking for the exhumation of the late singer Mohbad.

In an interview with Biola Adebayo Akinrinde on the Talk-To-B podcast, Iyabo expressed her disappointment over the prolonged burial and unresolved disputes within the singer’s family the burial of Mohbad after exhumation a year ago.

“If I had known things would turn out this way, I wouldn’t have requested that Mohbad be exhumed. He still hasn’t been buried. His father is insisting on a DNA test, and I heard the court has granted the request. But now, his dad seems to have new conditions too.”

Considering the way Mohbad died, Iyabo Ojo noted the reason she requested his exhumation:

“All I wanted was for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death. I tried my best to ensure proper investigations were carried out, but the focus shifted. Now, DNA tests seem to have taken priority.”

The actress’ comments highlight her frustration with the ongoing family conflicts and the delay in giving Mohbad a proper burial.

After Mohbad’s death, influencers and fans who were concerned about his death, including Iyabo Ojo, requested for his body to be exhumed to ascertain the cause of his death.  Up till now, the dead have yet to be laid to eternal rest.
