American musician, Katy Perry has revealed she would be stepping down as a judge, on the American Idol, and also teased her fans with a new song.

The 39 year old revealed this on Jimmy Kimmel Live, citing her desire to go into a new music venture and explore the world at large.
Perry, who has been a judge on the talent show since 2018, shared, “I think this probably will be my last show, my last season for Idol.”
Citing her reason, she said; “This fall, in September, I’m going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio, it’s really exciting. I mean, I love Idol so much. It’s connected me with the heart of America”
In addition to her role on American Idol, Perry talked about her performance for King Charles III at his Coronation Concert and discussed viral moments, including her search for a seat at Westminster Abbey.
While also, answering questions about what her fellow judges would say, learning about her departure, Perry said; “I love them so much,” Katy added of her fellow judges.
“They know, they know, they figured. I’ve been in the studio for a while…I love the show so much but I wanna see the world and maybe bring new music!”
Katy Perry, known for hits like “I Kissed A Girl,” soared to fame in 2008 and has been a dynamic presence on American Idol since joining in 2018.
