A Nigerian on twitter, Oreoluwa Fakorede has recounted the story of how the driver of a Taxify car he boarded on the 9th of August raped a girl and accused her of playing a role in it.
According to him, the driver stated that the girl was “wearing a short skirt and her privates were exposed.” Blaming the girl for arousing him, he told Fakorede, “I fingered her”.
A Taxify driver just confidently told me that he picked up an inebriated passenger and molested her sexually while she was under the influence.
Apparently, the woman, riding in the front seat, was wearing a short skirt and her privates were exposed.

Taxify quickly responded to the tweet:

According to Fakorede, Taxify informed him that they have taken him off their platform and will go “ahead with a proper investigation.”
This will not be the first time that Taxify driver app has be involved in this form of trouble.
Earlier in the year, a Nigerian actress accused a driver of trying to rape and kidnap her.
