Fast-rising music promotion and distribution company, Dwad Music, has said that African talents can compete favourably on the international entertainment and creative stage if given the right kind of support.

According to the music company, they were working tirelessly to ensure African entertainers surpassed all projected boundaries and became household names.
In a statement on Thursday to celebrate the organisation’s recent milestones and contributions to the development of entertainment in Africa and beyond, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dwad Music, Omotunde Teslim, said they’ll continue to use their platform to empower and transform emerging African creatives into global stars.

Adding that apart from transforming the way artists release, promote, and manage their music globally, Dwad will help talents achieve success without breaking the bank.

The statement reads, “Dwad Music started as a digital distribution hub helping artists get their songs on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, and YouTube Music.

“Today, it has evolved into a one-stop ecosystem for creators, offering tools that go far beyond distribution. Dwad Music has quietly become a key player in Africa’s growing creative economy.

“From music and video production, cover art design, and radio promotion to talent management, publishing, and royalties, we are building an artiste support system designed for African realities — practical, affordable, and transparent.

“Our goal is to make sure artists don’t just release songs but build careers. We want to remove every barrier that stops talents from being seen and heard.

“By lowering the cost of entry into the global market, we are helping upcoming acts get the kind of exposure that once seemed impossible without a major label.

“Dwad Music allows artists to operate independently, maintain ownership of their work, and build their own brand identities without needing to sign restrictive label deals.

“By merging all these services, we are doing more than distributing songs but helping artists become their own label and build the next generation of African stars.”
Annually, Nigeria’s music industry generates over $2 billion in revenue, creating millions of jobs across the value chain.

In 2023 alone, the country’s creative sector contributed $1.4 billion to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product – an amount industry watchers say could climb higher in the coming years, especially with fast-rising platforms like Dwad Music selling more African talents to the world.
