Emerging Nigerian Afro-fusion artiste, Bamidele Ismail Waheed, popularly known as Bameed, has released a new single titled “Duro”—a heartfelt record that dives into themes of patience, emotional vulnerability, and the complex reality of love.

Known for his deep lyrical storytelling and emotive delivery, Bameed continues to distinguish himself with a sound that blends Afro-fusion, R&B, and street soul. Duro, which translates to “wait” in Yoruba, is a reflective piece that encourages resilience and emotional honesty in the face of life’s many uncertainties.

“Duro is very personal to me,” the singer shared. “It’s about learning to trust the process, whether in love, healing, or finding yourself. I believe a lot of people will see themselves in this track.”

The song is a follow-up to his previous collaborations with artists like FOLA on Ogini, and Money featuring Dablixx Oshaa and Tunmise Songs—tracks that earned him street credibility and a growing fanbase.

Despite challenges in visibility and working independently, Bameed remains driven by raw inspiration drawn from real-life experiences. Duro marks another bold step in his journey of turning life’s emotions into healing melodies.

As the independent act continues to evolve and push creative boundaries, fans can expect more genre-blending music and deeply personal stories from the rising talent.
