Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been named in King Charles III’s special Commonwealth Music playlist.
The playlist, set for release on Monday, March 11, celebrates music from Commonwealth nations as part of Commonwealth Day events.
The project, called The King’s Music Room, features Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Raye, and Davido.
King Charles III, in collaboration with Apple Music, selected songs that bring him joy and nostalgia from different periods of his life.

“Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me,” the King said in a statement about the playlist.
The British monarch, known for his love of reggae and African music, visited Bob Marley’s home in Jamaica years ago.
A trailer for the project showed the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace playing Marley’s ‘Could You Be Loved’.
The King said music comforts in sad times, lifts spirits, and brings people together in celebration.
