Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has expressed concern over constant bullying and harsh criticism from social media users.
The Mavin Records star voiced her frustration in a post shared via her official X handle on Monday.
She claimed that some social media users have made it a habit to drag her for no reason, insisting that they deliberately target her to push negative narratives.
“There’s nothing I can do nor say to people that intentionally want to bully and misunderstand me every time. You’ve found a scapegoat abi? Focus on issues that actually matter and leave me tf alone,” she wrote.
The reason for her latest outburst remains unclear, but it comes amid renewed criticism over her appearance and style.
Ayra Starr has frequently faced backlash for her fashion choices, with many describing her outfits as revealing.
In April 2023, the ‘Rush’ crooner fired back at her critics during an interview with Kiss FM, London.
She said: “You are not my pastor, you are not Jesus, you are not my mother, so keep it to yourself. I don’t wanna know. I don’t give a damn.”
The comment stirred fresh debate about freedom of expression, morality, and what celebrities wear in the public eye.
Despite the criticism, the 23-year-old singer has continued to rise in the industry, earning nominations on global stages and recently performing at the Coachella Music Festival in California.
Her fans have taken to social media to show her support, urging her to ignore trolls and focus on her music career.
