Mayorkun Releases New Song ‘Che Che’

Mayorkun hasn’t slowed down his roll since bursting on the scene, proving how well deserving he was of the “Rookie Of The Year” award at last year’s Headies.

He has served us back to back hits this year, starting off with “Sade”, moving to club banger “Mama”, and now he closes the year with a catchy single “Che Che”.

Produced by Kiddominant, the song grabs you within its first few seconds by sampling Beenie Man’s “Dude” and consequently showing off Mayorkun’s ear for music.

The hook of the song is brisk and super catchy, and the transition from the hook to the melodic chorus is telling of Mayorkun’s versatility. Just picture yourself jamming to this whilst getting ready for a night out with your “Body on che che che/ Booty on che che che/ Make up on flee flee flee”.

The music video was directed by the renowned Clarence Peters and shows a beauty pageant, with Mayorkun being cheeky amongst the models backstage and on the runway.

Ahead of his Mayor of Lagos concert which will hold at Hard Rock Cafe on December 14, Mayorkun is clearly trying to get us hyped and he has succeeded! This jam has also come right in time for the weekend, and if any DJ is worth his pedigree, he will play “Che Che” several times through the night!
