The stage is set for the much anticipated Kennyblaq Reckless Music-Comedy Festival. Slated for December 14, 2024, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena (formerly known as Onikan Stadium), Lagos, this festival promises to bring a fresh, exhilarating experience that fuses the power of music and comedy like never before.

Headlined by the trailblazing comedian/musician Kennyblaq and other musi-comedians, the festival is not just another festival— it’s a cultural moment. With top-tier comedians sharing the stage with some of Africa’s hottest musical acts, the festival will redefine how audiences experience live entertainment.

Born out of the desire to merge Africa’s fast-rising Afrobeats scene with the dynamic world of comedy, the festival aims to deliver a show that’s bold, innovative, and unapologetically different. It is designed to push the boundaries of creativity and artistry, giving fans an unforgettable sensory experience that celebrates the best of both worlds.

Speaking on the vision behind the festival, Kennyblaq said: “Music and comedy have always been deeply connected for me, and I wanted to create something that showcases both in a unique way. Reckless is all about being daring, breaking norms, and offering fans a thrilling experience. It’s a festival that encourages people to take bold steps in their lives while having fun.”

head of the event, the campaign, launched under the hashtag #IAmReckless, has already begun making waves. This bold campaign encourages individuals from all walks of life to share their stories of taking risks, making daring moves, and breaking free from conventions. From influencers and artists to everyday individuals, the campaign is a celebration of fearless self-expression.

Through the campaign’s storytelling approach, the festival aims to build a community around the concept of recklessness— not as something negative, but as a testament to courage, creativity, and authenticity. From photo series featuring industry trailblazers to viral social media challenges, the #IAmReckless campaign is set to ignite conversations across the continent.

Festivalgoers will also be treated to interactive experiences, including exclusive merchandise, food and drink options that celebrate Nigerian culture, and activations that will engage fans before, during, and after the festival.
