Fast-rising Afropop singer Olusesan Timilehin, popularly known as TimmyAce, has stated that music is a challenging endeavour.
According to the UK-based singer, music is a craft that requires not only talent but dedication, practice, and often formal training to be good.
“Being a musician is very challenging—especially when you’re juggling real-life struggles alongside the demands of the craft,” he said.
TimmyAce further revealed how demanding, both financially and emotionally, music can be, but he kept going because of his passion.
“It’s financially demanding, emotionally intense, and it requires constant dedication. But at the end of the day, passion is the fuel that keeps me going. That deep love for music helps me push through the hard times and stay focused on the bigger picture,” he disclosed.
Born and bred in Ifo, an area of Ogun State, Nigeria, and now UK-based, TimmyAce is a gifted performer who has produced inspired songs and has carved a niche with his deeply resonant singles, EPs, and collaborative works. His music, a blessing he generously shares, consistently touches hearts across the globe.
TimmyAce is also a businessman, but his music always reflects his current standing in life. More importantly, his artistry is growing—sometimes, he seems like an Afro or Fuji singer, and other times, he seems like a proper street artist.
Blending the music elements of Afro-fusion and pop, rap infusion with current influences and vibes on Afrobeat and Amapiano rhythms, TimmyAce shows his versatility and ability to navigate between melody and controlled flow.
It’s impressive to see how quickly he’s made a mark in the music scene since 2021. He dropped his first EP, TushRazz, then Sunshine Remix, and his recent singles Omo Ologo and Badoo Love, from his upcoming EP, Happy Hour. His ability to showcase versatility and talent as a newcomer is truly commendable.
TimmyAce’s story could serve as motivation for aspiring artists who are also trying to carve out their space in the entertainment industry.
