Nigerian singer, Qudus Fakoya Olatunji, popularly known as Qdot, was reportedly attacked and robbed at gunpoint in his Lagos residence on Sunday.

The incident was said to have occurred around 2:30 a.m. when armed men broke into his home.

The assailants carted away phones, laptops and allegedly transferred money from his bank accounts. They were also said to have gained access to his social media pages.

Talent manager, Dami Adenuga, confirmed the incident in a post on X, warning the public to disregard suspicious messages or financial requests from the artiste’s accounts.

He wrote, “Nigerian singer Qdot was attacked and robbed at gunpoint in his home around 2:30 a.m. today. The armed robbers carted away his phones, laptops, and transferred all funds from his accounts.

“They also gained access to his social media accounts. The public is hereby urged to disregard any suspicious messages, posts, or financial requests coming from Qdot’s accounts at this time.”

As of press time, the Lagos State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the matter.

Qdot, 35, is known for blending Fuji and Afrobeats in songs such as Alomo Meta, Gbese, and Jegele.

Over the years, he has built a strong following with his street-inspired sound and remains one of the notable voices in Nigeria’s contemporary music scene.
