Popular American rapper Nicki Minaj has caught the attention of Nigerians once again, this time for her love of Nigerian Pidgin English.

In a recent video shared on her social media, the award-winning rapper revealed she’s using Ayra Starr’s hit song Rush to familiarise herself with the language.
Nicki first caused a stir online when she posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), where she spoke some Pidgin English, leaving many Nigerians amused.

Fans were quick to ask how she picked up the language. In response, the superstar described herself as a “Sabi Girl,” referencing Ayra Starr’s popular lyric.
“LMFAOOOO. Nigeria will not end me o! Sabi girl no Dey too like talk. My words take the express elevator to the most high chi. I will show them pepper,” Nicki wrote in her post.
