Nollywood actor, Odunalade Adekola, with his latest blockbuster Orisa, is set to become the most-watched Nollywood film, overtaking Funke Akindele in the process. 

“Orisa” since its release has gathered over 60 million streams across the world, and now Odunlade Adekola has taken the film to the USA. He posted on his Instagram page, “USA we are here!!, Orisa is coming to select regal cinemas, immerse yourself in the magic of orisa, a riveting cinematic gem, come August 10, make  sure you go all out for “orisa”

Orisa currently ranks number 42 on all-time most grossing Hollywood films, and already making over ₦60,048,475, while Funke Akindele’s “Battle on Buka Street” is currently ranked number one, grossing approximately ₦668,423,056 on the list. The top five ranking films are “Battle on Buka Street”, “Omo Ghetto” (The saga), “The wedding party”, 1 & 2, and “Chief Daddy”. 

While “orisa” still is in cinemas, and across the shores of Africa, there’s a possibility it un-sits “Battle On Buka Street” for the top position in the nearest of times
