PPopular TikTok content creator and livestreamer, Hamzat Habeeb, known as Peller, has announced that he has gained admission into a university in Lagos..

In a video shared with his followers on Saturday via Instagram, the influencer broke the news in his usual way.

He said, “Hello guys, everyone in the world watching me. I got admission to a university in Lagos. Educated or not educated, they wanted to use that to finish my life. Maybe I am the only one who did not go to university. Now we can do the challenge. I go to a private university, I go to a public university. It is Law that I am studying.”

He added in the caption accompanying the video, “Congratulations to me o. Na so they call me this morning say I don get admission. Omo make una clear road, I go to pepper una.”

The announcement marks a turnaround from his earlier struggles with public perception about his educational background.

On January 5, Peller had admitted during a live session with fellow content creator Enzo that he planned to return to school because of his difficulty expressing himself in English.

When asked to introduce himself in English, he declined and said, “My English is bad… but I am going to the university soon, I am an Art student.”

His confession generated mixed reactions online, with some followers expressing sympathy while others criticised him.

Peller has also been under public scrutiny over his conduct in recent months. In 2025, he made headlines after crashing his car during a live broadcast. The Lagos State Police Command described the act as “extremely dangerous” and warned that it posed serious risks to both the influencer and members of the public. The case was later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

His educational future again became a subject of public discussion in November 2025 after lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju advised him to return to school.

Writing on Facebook, Adeyanju said, “Peller should go to school. Education will shape his life and destiny. He can still be doing all the TikTok and making money, but education will add real value to his life.”

He further suggested that Peller should consider studying Law, noting that legal training would improve his reasoning and help him better understand the consequences of his online actions.

“Let me suggest that he considers a law degree, but he must get a credit in Literature in English first,” he added.

Adeyanju’s comments sparked mixed reactions online. While some agreed that formal education would help Peller build long-term relevance, others argued that his success on social media already showed his ability to thrive without certificates.

Peller did not respond to Adeyanju’s comments at the time. However, his latest announcement that he is now studying Law appears to align with the earlier advice.
