Prince Harry has donated the proceeds from his upcoming memoir “Spare.”

The Duke of Sussex’s memoir which was scheduled to be debuted on September 8th was postponed to January 10 2023 following the death of his Grandmother and former monarch Queen Elizabeth II.

Reports previously stated that the Duke received $20 million for his stories, and Prince Harry has now revealed his plans for the check.

A spokesman from Penguin Random House revealed that the Duke plans to “support British charities with donations from his proceeds from ‘Spare.’”

“The Duke of Sussex has donated $1,500,000 to Sentebale, an organization he founded with Prince Seeiso in their mothers’ legacies, which supports vulnerable children and young people in Lesotho and Botswana affected by HIV/AIDS,” they wrote.

They also added that Harry, will also donate to the non-profit WellChild in the amount of $347,000.

“WellChild, which he has been Royal patron of for fifteen years, makes it possible for children and young people with complex health needs to be cared for at home instead of hospital, wherever possible.”

Random House further stated that the autobiography will be published in 16 languages around the world.

“Spare” refers to the Duke’s label as a “spare” — aka a prince to the heir, his estranged older brother Prince William.

“We are excited to bring to readers everywhere the remarkably personal and emotionally powerful story of Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. For Harry, this is his story at last,” the publisher’s Instagram account wrote in a statement on Thursday.
