Princess Love And Ray J Announce Divorce for Fourth Time
Princess Love has once again filed for divorce from her husband, Ray J, marking the fourth time the couple has decided to part ways.
The actress and singer have been married for nearly eight years, but their relationship has been anything but smooth sailing.
The divorce filing was made official in Los Angeles County on Monday, as revealed by documents obtained by PageSix.
In a heartfelt statement shared on her Instagram, Princess Love expressed the difficult decision they’ve reached:
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways.
“While our relationship as spouses may be coming to an end, we remain committed to co-parenting our children and maintaining a positive and supportive family dynamic.”
Ray J and Princess Love tied the knot in August 2016 after four years of dating. They share two children: daughter Melody, who is now 5 years old, and son Epik, who is 4 years old.
This latest divorce filing adds another chapter to the couple’s tumultuous relationship, which has been closely followed by fans in the reality show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.
Their marital turbulence began in 2019, when Princess Love accused Ray J of leaving her and Melody “stranded” in Las Vegas.
Despite the rocky moments, they managed to reconcile later that year. Ray J publicly apologized, saying:
“Well, first off, let me say, Princess, I love you baby… We cool now and we’ll work it out. I know you still mad at me, but as a couple, you go through things and it just got a little bit out of hand. Sometimes it gets out to the public and then everybody has their opinion on it, but we’re good though, as parents and as friends and as husband and wife. We just went through something.”
However, the rollercoaster continued. Love filed for divorce in May 2020, only to withdraw the filing two months later.
Ray J then filed for divorce in September 2020, but they called it off in March 2021. The cycle repeated when Ray J filed again in October 2023, only to have the divorce dismissed in March 2023.
