Milk and cookies. Cookies were one of the first items I ever baked, well rock cakes to be precise. Baking them brought me so much joy and over the years I tweaked my cookie recipe till it was perfect for me. If you know me, you’ll know there’s nothing I love more than curling up…

Milk and cookies. Cookies were one of the first items I ever baked, well rock cakes to be precise. Baking them brought me so much joy and over the years I tweaked my cookie recipe till it was perfect for me.
If you know me, you’ll know there’s nothing I love more than curling up with a nice plate of warm cookies and a glass of milk but then again, who doesn’t like milk and cookies??
Here’s my version of milk and cookies; these cookies make a perfect snack or dessert for every age.

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie

Buttery Crisp Oatmeal cookie with milk chocolate chips, Best Served with a glass of Creamy Banana Milk.

Servings: 20
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 12 Minutes
Ingredients
1 Large egg
115g Flour
115g Oats
100g Brown sugar
75g White sugar
225g Butter or margarine
150g Milk chocolate Chips or Chunks of choice
½ Teaspoon baking soda
1 Teaspoons vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Method
• Preheat oven to 375° F
• Line two baking pan with parchment paper
• Mix flour, baking soda; salt in a bowl and set aside.
• In a separate mixing bowl, beat brown sugar, butter and white sugar until creamy.
• Add the egg, milk, chocolate and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
• Gradually mix in flour mixture. Then Stir in oat and mix till combined.
• Spoon 10 rounded tablespoon onto each lined baking pan.
• Bake for 12 minutes until the edges are golden brown (for soft chewy cookie bake for 8 minutes)
• Allow them to cool on the baking pan for 1 minute or so; before removing.

Creamy Banana Milk

Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients
Banana Milk
1 Frozen banana
125ml Milk
2 tablespoon honey (optional)
½ Teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar
½ Teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 Teaspoon brown sugar

Method
• In bowl mix cinnamon and sugar and set aside
• Chop frozen banana into chunks
• In a blender; add milk, chopped banana, honey, vanilla and blend till smooth.
• Then pour into a drinking glass and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar
