Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs arrested in U.S.

Popular US rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has been arrested in New York.

The 54-year-old was picked up by police at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan, although the exact charges remain unclear.

Authorities, however, said his arrest is linked to a sealed indictment.

Damian Williams, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, mentioned, “The arrest was based on a sealed indictment,” and hinted that more details will be revealed once the document is unsealed.

Combs’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed frustration, saying, “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr Combs by the US Attorney’s Office.”

He also defended Diddy, stating, “Diddy is an imperfect person but is not criminal.”

The arrest comes amidst a cloud of allegations against the rapper, including sexual assault and other federal investigations.

Diddy had previously relocated to New York, cooperating with authorities ahead of possible charges.

His lawyer urged people not to rush to conclusions, adding, “These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide.”
