Jay Asher, author of 13 Reasons Why has become the latest to be on the other end of a sexual assault charge.

Asher has dragged to court, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) for expelling him without looking into allegations raised by seven women.

TMZ reports that these seven women who remain unknown allege that he sexually assaulted them because of his status. Asher on the other hand and in his suit, claims that these women were capitalising and resentful of his success.

Rather than check into the allegations, the SCBWI expelled him. Now, he is asking the organization to pay for damages noting that the false claims might hurt his occupation.

SCBWI is yet to react to this.
