The report revealed that “At 34, Taylor Swift joins the billionaire club with US$1.2 billion, not from typical celebrity side hustles, but uniquely through her music.

“Over half her fortune stems from royalties and touring, including US$190 million from the Eras tour’s first leg and US$35 million from its concert film.

“The rest is buoyed by her music catalogue’s value, notably after her first six albums were sold to Shamrock Capital for US$300 million in 2020.”

Breaking down her wealth using the era’s tour alone, reports by News Corp said the singer is making a whopping US$27 million per three-hour show, which equates to US$150,000 per minute or US$2,500 per second.

The report further shows how much Swift pockets herself, and it was estimated she would earn about $5 million for each of her seven three-hour concerts in Australia – or $35 million in total.

The Guardian reported her record-breaking Era’s where she grossed over $US1 billion in revenue, making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.

The Hurun Global Rich List 2024, Wealth calculations are a snapshot of 15 January 2024. This is the 13th year of the ranking.

The list showed that media and entertainment added over US$226BN, growing above services and software.
