In 1958, he created the iconic ‘Balloon coat’ and the ‘Baby Doll’ dress.
His brand went global when he started designing clothes for Audrey Hepburn, one of the most iconic actresses in Hollywood. The duo collaborated all through Hepburn’s career, with Hepburn being the face of Givenchy’s first perfume line, L’Interdit and Le de Givenchy, a job she did on the basis of friendship as she charged no fee.
