Tiktoker Peller calls Runtown an upcoming artiste
Social media is on fire after popular Tiktoker, Peller, threw heavy shade at Nigerian singer Runtown during a recent live session.
In a now-viral video, Peller dismissed Runtown as an “upcoming artiste” after a viewer suggested he should go live with the Mad Over You crooner.
Peller did not hold back, stating: “Wetin be Runtown? Don’t bring upcoming artistes on my live video. Na artistes wey don blow well well I want.”
This statement has sparked massive reactions, with fans questioning whether Peller was trolling or genuinely doesn’t rate Runtown’s status in the industry.

Runtown, known for hits like Mad Over You, For Life, and Gallardo, has been in the game for over a decade. While he has been low-key in recent years, many fans argue that calling him an “upcoming artiste” is pure disrespect.
Meanwhile, X (Twitter) and Instagram are buzzing with divided opinions. Some people are defending Runtown, saying his impact on Nigerian music is undeniable with songs that keeps us grooving, while others are laughing at the savage take.
Still, others believe that Runtown has been unnecessarily quite in recent times, noting that as an artiste, one needs to keep being in the news for relevance, just like Portable.
