Travis Scott Arrested In Paris After Hotel Altercation
Popular American rapper, Travis Scott, was arrested in Paris on Friday, August 9th, following an altercation at the prestigious George V hotel in the city.
What went down
According to reports, the 33-year-old musician was taken into custody in the early hours of the morning. This was after a fight broke out between Scott and another individual, suspected to have been a hotel staff member. French authorities stated that Scott appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.
“The suspect was drunk and had been fighting with another man – possibly a receptionist in the hotel,” a Paris police source told local reporter Peter Allen. “He was not in the right condition to be questioned straight away, so was put in a cell where he is still sobering up.”
The arrest comes just a day after Scott was spotted cheering on the United States of America team during their men’s basketball semifinal matchup against Serbia at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the French capital.

Travis Scott’s previous arrest
This is not the first time the Sicko Mode hitmaker has found himself in legal trouble. In June, Scott was involved in a yacht fight in Miami. It led to his arrest on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. Although the former charge was later dropped.
Additionally, the rapper will appear in court in September for a separate incident that occurred earlier this year.
Representatives for Travis Scott have not yet released a statement regarding the latest Paris arrest. The investigation into the altercation at the George V Hotel is still ongoing.
