The Weeknd revealed that he a virgin when he made a guest appearance on long-running animated series “American Dad,” which aired Monday night. The Canadian crooner made the confession when he sang in the episode which was dubbed “The Weeknd’s Dark Secret”.

On the show, the Weeknd sings about never doing drugs, not watching porn, and, of course, not having sex. “Pure as a dove and I’m waiting for the right person,” he sings.

This confession comes as a shock for fans of the Weeknd, who GQ magazine once crowned the ‘king of sex pop’ in a 2017 article. His lyrics often express feelings of hurt and deal with subject matter such as sex, drugs, and partying.

“I’m a longtime fan of the show,” The Weeknd told Variety. “I’ve been watching since high school but I really appreciated it about seven years ago. It’s been running for so long, and I feel like it has a real cult following. To really enjoy the show in its entirety you have to really know the characters.”
