Wesley Snipes Joins ‘Coming 2 America’ Cast. Snipes will co-star alongside Arsenio Hall and Eddie Murphy. Hall and Murphy will reprise their roles from the original 1988 film, Semmi and Prince Akeem, respectively.

Snipes will play General Izzi. In the original film, Murphy’s character comes to America in an attempt to escape an arranged marriage. The sequel will see Murphy’s character returning to America to find his “long-lost son.”
‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris will write and produce.
‘Coming 2 America’ is scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 7, 2020.
