Two of Nollywood’s filmmakers, Funke Akindele and Kunle Afolayan, are gearing up to take over screens with their anticipated films, “Finding Me” and “Recall”.
Akindele, known for her blockbuster hits, has announced that her latest movie, “Finding Me”, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 17, 2025.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 47-year-old actress and producer shared a teaser video, writing, “The search is finally over!!! Get ready for Finding Me! Join us on this powerful journey of self-discovery.”
She had earlier introduced the cast on May 28, 2024, after weeks of building anticipation.

The film features lineup of stars, including Ariyo Oluwakemisola Apesin, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Joseph Benjamin, Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Sharon Ooja Egwurube, Shaffy Bello, Omoni Oboli, and Femi Adebayo.
Following the success of her previous film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, which remains Nigeria’s highest-grossing film, fans are eager to see what “Finding Me” entails.
Meanwhile, ace filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has also confirmed the release date for his psychological drama, “Recall”, which will hit cinemas on April 4, 2025.
He made the announcement via Instagram on Monday, sharing a movie poster with the tagline, “What if the love of your life forgot you?”
The film follows Goke, whose world is turned upside down when his wife, Anita, wakes up with no memory of him or their children. As he fights to restore their love, a dark secret threatens to keep them apart forever.
Afolayan first teased the project in October 2024 when he released its official trailer.
“Recall” stars Sharon Ooja, Haitian actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, Patience Ozokwor, Bimbo Akintola, Mama Rainbow, Ekpenyong Inyang, and Shan George, with a special appearance by singer Tosin Martins.
