Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has announced plans to hold another protest demanding justice for the late singer Mohbad, who died under suspicious circumstances on September 12, 2023.

The actor said the protest scheduled for September 30 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, aligning with the coroner’s resumption of the investigation into Mohbad’s death.

Fabiyi, in an Instagram post, urged the public to join him in a peaceful demonstration, pushing for the police to release the CCTV footage from Mohbad’s residence, which he believes is key to uncovering the truth.

He also called on Lagos lawmakers to form a committee to secure the footage.

“The CCTV cameras inside and outside Mohbad’s house were working, and they store remotely someone and not via DVR. The builder of the houses of similar patterns and Royal Pine Estate, Off Orchid Road, Lekki security, and CDA have answers to where these facts are stored,” Fabiyi stated.

He believes it could expose those involved in the singer’s death.

He further alleged that some individuals are spending millions of naira to create diversions and cover up the case, urging the Lagos State government to step in and ensure justice prevails.

“It is imperative that we mount legitimate pressure and protest peacefully to the gate of the Lagos State House of Assembly on the 30th of September, 2024,” Fabiyi wrote.
