2023 election: Peter Obi wins in Enugu, defeats Tinubu, Atiku, Kwankwaso

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has been declared winner of the Saturday 25 of February presidential election in Enugu State.

Obi, a third-party candidate, polled a total number of 428,640 votes according to the results announced on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) collation officers for the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state

Obi’s closest rival in the state Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate emerged with a total vote of 15,749 in the state.

On the other hand, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC), Bola Tinubu, polled 4,772 votes while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, trailed with 1,808 votes.

Enugu has a total of 2,112,793 registered voters, while the number of accredited voters is 482,990.

The total valid votes are 456,424 and the number of rejected votes is 12,467 and the total votes cast are 468,891.
