2023: Ganduje’s wife begs for Doguwa’s re-election to assembly
The wife of Kano State Governor, Dr. Hafsat Umar Ganduje, has canvassed maximum support and vote for leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, for his return to the national assembly come 2023.
Although, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not yet lifted embargo on political campaign, the wife of the governor wanted the people of Tudun-Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency to renew the representation of Doguwa for better development.
Ganduje made the plea at Dadin-Kowa community in Doguwa council of Kano State during the second phase of empowerment programme and cash assistance organised by the majority leader.
Ganduje disclosed that Doguwa, one of the longest serving member of the House of Representatives from Kano has diligently served his constituency creditably and shown unalloyed loyalty to APC government in Kano, the critical reason she urged for his re-elected in 2023.
She said judging by the track record, Doguwa would get 100 per cent support and unanimously votes of confidence from Kano to return not as ranking members of the lower chamber alone, but also as the next speaker of the House of Representatives.
“I’m begging you in the names of Allah to accept my plea and agree that this stand we are taking is nothing but unanimous, to reelect Ado Doguwa and subsequently make him Speaker, comes 2023.”
She said, “apart from his outright performances as House of Representatives member, not only to Kano but to every Nigerian, Doguwa unalloyed loyalty to the APC and indeed our government and the Federal Government is enough to gives him support for next Speaker.
“Today amongst all the House of Representatives members from Kano, there is no one like him, who consistently remains with his People’s both physically and materially.
“You can see that today he is sharing N70 million cash to women and youth to start their own businesses, and he is giving two trailer of 50kg of rice to his constituents, and three trailers of fertilizer, 103 trickles, with new cars all to empower his people’s”.
Speaking, the House of Representatives Majority Leader, Doguwa explained that he embarked on these empowerment programmes knowing fully the conditions of his people’s at this time of untold hardship and high costs of essential commodities.
Ado Doguwa said the empowerment would continue until he is sure that on his part he has subsequently reduce poverty and hardship amongst his constituents.
During the programmes, 27 new recruits of State Road Traffic control Agency (KAROTA) officers were employed and uniformed by the Majority Leader to cover Tudunwada, Doguwa councils.
