No fewer than 30,000 Jigawa indigenes will benefit from World Bank Support on COVID-19 Economic Stimulus before the end of 2023, the state’s coordinating officer of J Care of the coordinating units of the Programme, Umar Idris, has disclosed.
No fewer than 30,000 Jigawa indigenes will benefit from World Bank Support on COVID-19 Economic Stimulus before the end of 2023, the state’s coordinating officer of J Care of the coordinating units of the Programme, Umar Idris, has disclosed.
He told The Guardian in his Dutse office that the programme will be financed through the approved released of the N1.7 billion for the implementation of COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) programme in four key result areas by Governor Mohammed Abubakar.
Under the programme, the government is expected to spend about N800 million, out of which N365,863,210 will be disbursed to over 3,000 beneficiaries, and N410,995,790 on the state’s economic empowerment for women and youths.
