Alhaji Shu’aibu Muhammad, the Chairman of Hajj Reception Committee in the state, disclosed this to newsmen on Friday in Katsina.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a total of 4,460 pilgrims performed this year’s hajj from the state.

Muhammad said that the exercise was expected to be completed by the end of this week.

He said that the pilgrims were transported with their handbags and luggage, expressing satisfaction with the success recorded in the transportation of pilgrims.

He, however, declined to comment on the number of pilgrims from the state that were involved in ‘Jamrat’ stampede.
