THE management of BINANI Air has expressed confidence that despite the challenges faced by airline operators, it has taken its position in the aviation industry in Nigeria barely one month after it’s inaugural flight.

The airline also stated that professionalism and service excellence will remain it’s priority  ,stressing that it will focus on strengthening operational reliability, enhance customer experiences and pursue sustainable growth by building an airline that Nigerians can trust and be proud of.

Speaking to journalists, the Group President of airline, Aminatu Dahiru Chiroma described connectivity as most powerful driver of economic growth and national development, stressing that once air transport improves, businesses expand, tourism grows, investment increases.

“Airlines do more than move passengers from one city to another . They create links between communities,industries and opportunities . We see ourselves as contributors to that larger national objective and every route we operate represents a bridge connecting people to possibilities ,that is why we are passionate about serving routes that create value for both travelers and broader economy.”

Speaking on the challenges of floating an airline in Nigeria , the group President said Nigeria presents both tremendous opportunities and significant operational realities for airlines .

“The aviation industry is highly regulated ,capital -intensive and extremely sensitive to operational standards . Every process must be approached with precision because safety leaves no roll for compromise .

“One of the greatest challenges was ensuring that every aspect of our operation met the highest standards before the first commercial flight . There were regulatory requirements,operational certifications ,personnel training ,infrastructure readiness ,technical preparations and stakeholder engagements. However rather than viewing these requirements as obstacles , we viewed them as necessary building blocks for sustainable airline and our philosophy has always been simple ,build carefully , build responsibly and build for the long term. ”

She emphasized that building an airline anywhere in the world requires formidable undertaking while a greater degree of resilience,foresight and commitment is required in the case of Nigeria.

“While financial investment is essential ,what ultimately sustains a vision of this magnitude is leadership,” Chiroma declared.
