Nearly three out of four Nigerian subscribers who changed their mobile network in July left 9mobile, according to new industry figures.
Data published by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) showed that 646 users ported away from 9mobile, representing 72 percent of all mobile number portability in the month.
Airtel followed with 107 users (12 percent), while Globacom lost 91 (10 percent). MTN had the lowest outflow, with 58 subscribers (6 percent).
The figures, shared by data firm Statisense on X, highlight the continuing struggles of 9mobile in retaining customers in a highly competitive telecoms market.
Telecom operators in Nigeria have faced growing challenges as subscribers weigh network quality, pricing, and data services in choosing providers.
