Professor Maryam Aminu of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State, has been appointed into the African Regional Co-operative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology (AFRA) committee.

In a statement at the weekend, ABU confirmed the appointment Aminu as member of the Programme Management Committee (PMC) of AFRA.

The statement signed by ABU Director of Public Affairs, Awwalu Umar, reads: “Aminu’s selection as AFRA PMC member was endorsed at the 32nd meeting of AFRA representatives in Vienna, Austria. By this development, Prof. Aminu represents Nigeria on the committee, whose other members were drawn from Algeria, Egypt, Mali, Morocco and South Africa.”
