ABUAD industrial park to house 220 firms, says VC

The management of Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) said it had further expanded the university’s industrial park to accommodate 220 major industries to further boost the economy of Ekiti State.

Vice Chancellor of ABUAD, Prof. Michael Ajisafe, who stated this in Ado-Ekiti, said that the park was originally planned to accommodate 121 major industries.

Ajisafe, who also spoke when the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) accreditation team visited ABUAD’s College of Engineering to assess the university, urged the visiting team to use ABUAD engineering faculty as template for other universities.

Meanwhile, COREN has warned that it is illegal and fraudulent for universities to run courses that have not been accredited by National Universities Commission (NUC) and other regulatory agencies.
