Former Anambra State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last general elections, Mr. Peter Obi, has commended the Association of Nsukka Professors (ANP) for initiating the yearly lecture in promotion of national discourse, deepening the country’s democracy and interrogating national question.

Obi who spoke after delivering the Fourth Adada Lecture entitled, Restructuring, Security Challenges And Development on May 25, 2021, at Princess Alexandria Auditorium Hall, University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), thanked the association for organisating the lecture and deeming it necessary to invite him as the keynote speaker.

The lecture, organised by the Association of Nsukka Professors, had Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as Chief Guest Of Honour, while the former Federal Permanent Secretary, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa was the Chairman of the event, with Senator Chuka Utazi as the Special Guest.

Also speaking at the event, President of the Association of Nsukka Professors, Prof. Osy Okanya, specifically thanked Governor Ugwuanyi for attending the event and his continuous support to the association.

He equally thanked ex-Gov. Obi for honouring the invitation and delivering quality lecture.

“I appreciate the presence of the Chairman of the occasion, retired Permanent secretary Mr. Chinyeaka Ohaa, Senator Chuka Utazi and host of others at the occasion,” Okanya said.

He further stated that Adada Lecture Series is a flagship programme of the Association of Nsukka Professors (ANP).
