Adeboye assures Nigerians of gradual end to COVID-19 pandemic
Seeks intense prayers against fire outbreak, storms
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has assured Nigerians and the globe that return to normalcy has started for the world against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adeboye said the normalcy would not come spontaneously but gradually.
The General Overseer, who spoke through a live telecast aired by Dove TV to members of the church and Nigerians yesterday, assured that God would perfect the healing of the world.
According to him, the virus will recede, but won’t disappear 100 per cent at a go.
He said that the healing process would start from Nigeria, then to Africa and from there, to other parts of the world.
Adeboye, who stressed that travelling, which is not important after the Coronavirus must have relapsed, should be suspended at least for the next two months.
He canvassed more prayers for the health workers in Nigeria and across the globe,
According to him, all hands must be on deck to ensure that the victory earned thus far over the virus is not lost.
The cleric, while appreciating the efforts of government at all levels to contain the pandemic, advised that in the future, “government should include ministers of God, such as Chief Imams, Archbishops and Pastors in the committees handling the situation. This is warfare, and there is a spiritual angle to it. It is not our wisdom, ability or strength that has earned us the victory we have had thus far.”
Besides, Adeboye has called for intense prayers against fire outbreaks, storms and the likes as predicted earlier in the year.
The RCCG leader, who said the telecast, an alternative to regular church services due to the lockdown order, may be the last before the gradual return to normalcy, canvassed more intensive prayers, saying: “It will not be a sudden change, but will be a gradual thing.”
