Adelabu, APC challenge Makinde’s victory in Oyo

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 9 gubernatorial polls in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu and his party have petitioned the Election Petitions Tribunal, challenging the declaration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard-bearer, Seyi Makinde, as winner of the exercise.

Adelabu is first petitioner while the APC remains second.

The suit has the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Makinde and the PDP as first, second and third respondents.

The petitioners are asking the panel to return the APC candidate.
